LETTER BEFORE THE OTHERS
Dear You,
Before I write to you about how I feel on most days, I wanted to send you this one.
Think of it as the doorway.
Life has been loud lately, maybe for you too. Plans shifting, emotions stretching, faith taking new shapes, and the days moving faster than I expect. And sometimes, in the middle of everything, I forget that I’m allowed to pause. To breathe, to feel, to even ask myself gentle questions without rushing to find answers.
So this letter is my pause.
And I hope when you read it and the ones that will follow, you can sense the sincerity in every line. I’m just a girl figuring life out too. Believing. Learning. Fighting. And trusting that I’ll win.
This is a soft moment to tell you that you’re not reading this by accident. You’re here because something in you is ready for tenderness again. Ready for words that steady you, words that remind you, words that sit beside you without judgement.
I may not know exactly where you are right now.
Maybe at your strongest.
Maybe at your tiredest.
Maybe somewhere in the middle, just trying to stay afloat.
But this I know: you are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to rebuild slowly.
You are allowed to receive softness without feeling like you must earn it.
In the coming days, more letters will arrive and each will carry a piece of what we often forget: that life is not only about running, proving, or surviving. It can be a mixture of Tom-Toms and Baba blue on sweaty days - something cool.
And I hope, sincerely, that these letters meet you in good places… even if those places are imperfect.
Welcome back to the journey.
With gentleness,
Ozioma Vitæ
